About Us

When I was a kid, I used to spend the summers in a small village. With my grandparents I  used to go to the local cemetery a lot to tidy up the gravesites and to commemorate our passed ancestors. Needless to say what a tiring experience it was at times hoeing around the tombs trying to get rid of the weeds! One time I wandered away from the official cemetery into a bushy area, where the remains of the old cemetery lay hidden - undeniably symbolizing the march of time.  Names on the tombs, which meant nothing to anyone anymore. Even as a child, I was intrigued by the thought of how cool it would be to know who those people were and what they achieved while walking this planet! Unfortunately, over time, the physical grave deteriorates and eventually becomes a scene of ruin, completely fading into oblivion. To avoid this, we must regularly renew the grave lease, which—much like funeral costs—is becoming increasingly expensive and a burden to many families.

The purpose of this website is to preserve the memory of our deceased loved ones for future generations, with the help of modern technology by creating an online, never-expiring gravesite that also offers additional decoration options. You are free to edit your own memorial pages, browse those of others, and express your condolences by posting comments, lighting candles, or placing other virtual memorial items.

Furthermore, I firmly believe that GravesOfThose will also aid the grieving process by connecting those who have experienced similar losses.

Let’s build a supportive community together!  After all, we are all spiritually connected, and by giving strength to others, you help yourself too.
